LMHR Festival Weekend 2010 – Yorkshire Event Announced for Barnsley!

As part of this year’s LMHR Festivals weekend, we’re pleased to announce what will be our biggest-ever event in Yorkshire – a large-scale outdoor LMHR Carnival with major acts taking place in Barnsley, South Yorkshire on Saturday 1st May, from 4pm-10pm.    As well as the main event taking place in County Way Car Park, there will be a whole programme of fringe events going on in up to a dozen music venues across the town.

The event is being organised in conjunction with Barnsley LMHR and Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council.    Tickets will be priced very low so that everyone can afford to attend and will be available through The Civic in Barnsley as well as directly from LMHR groups in other Yorkshire towns and cities.  Watch this space for an announcement on lineup, ticket prices and where you can buy your ticket – this will follow the Festivals launch at the LMHR national conference in London on Saturday 13th Feb.

This is going to be a cracking day out. As well the main gig, Shaz and the team have been putting tons of work into making sure on the day there will be a bar in Barnsley catering for followers of every major musical genre. Gonna be good! Luv, Lefty.x
